# Find the words your customers already use.

Turn interview notes into a traceable message brief, with the customer language still attached.

## The workflow

1. Your interview notes: Gather permissioned, de-identified conversation excerpts.
2. Your AI assistant: Group repeated needs while preserving source references.
3. Docs or Sheets: Write a message hypothesis and plan a small test.

## What you need

Works with notes you already have and an existing AI assistant, or manually. Use de-identified material you have permission to process.

## Setup

1. Collect five relevant interview excerpts. Give each a source ID and describe who was speaking without identifying them.
2. Remove personal or confidential information before using an external assistant.
3. Run the prompt or use its questions as a manual worksheet.
4. Check whether each proposed theme is supported by more than one source. Preserve contradictory examples.
5. Write one message variant and test comprehension with a relevant customer before making performance claims.

## Prompt

Help me turn customer excerpts into a message brief. Use only the supplied material.

AUDIENCE: [describe]
OFFER: [describe]
EXCERPTS WITH SOURCE IDS: [paste de-identified notes]

Return a table with: source IDs, exact customer wording, underlying job, current alternative, and what is still unknown. Keep observations separate from interpretations. Do not manufacture frequency from a small sample.

Then propose one short message, explain which evidence supports it, include any contradictory evidence, and suggest one question to test whether a customer understands it. Label the message as a hypothesis.

## Example

Example · synthetic interview excerpt

### “I keep rebuilding the same report.”

Possible need: a repeatable way to prepare the weekly report. This excerpt does not tell us how common the problem is.

Next move: Test “Your weekly report, ready to reuse” against the customer’s own description.

## GTM Psychology: Recognition

Language people recognize can help them understand an offer. Keep their context attached so a memorable quote does not become an unsupported market claim.
